Gut & SIBO Test Bundle
Our most complete gut investigation — combining the full 108+ biomarker Gut Microbiome Test with a 3-hour SIBO Breath Test to map your entire digestive ecosystem from small intestine to large bowel, all in one convenient kit.
Is this test right for you?
This bundle combines the Gut Microbiome Test and SIBO Breath Test — mapping your entire digestive system from small intestine to large. Tap any conditions that apply to you.
Bloating can originate in the small intestine (SIBO) or the large intestine (dysbiosis) — or both. This bundle tests for bacterial overgrowth via breath test and maps the large bowel microbiome, giving your practitioner the complete picture.
The breath test measures hydrogen, methane, and hydrogen sulphide produced by small intestinal bacteria, while the gut test identifies gas-producing species in the large bowel. Together they pinpoint exactly where excess gas is being produced.
Methane-dominant SIBO slows transit; hydrogen-dominant SIBO speeds it up. The gut test adds large bowel organisms and motility markers. Combining both tests reveals the full mechanism behind irregular bowel habits.
Up to 78% of IBS patients test positive for SIBO. If standard IBS treatment has not worked, this bundle tests both the small and large intestine — the two areas most likely driving unresolved symptoms.
SIBO increases intra-abdominal pressure that can force stomach contents upward. The gut test adds H. pylori markers and upper GI organism mapping. Together they cover every digestive driver of reflux.
SIBO causes premature fermentation of FODMAPs in the small intestine. The gut test reveals pathogenic overgrowth and gut lining integrity. This bundle identifies whether your reactions are bacterial, immune-mediated, or both.
SIBO impairs nutrient absorption; large bowel dysbiosis drives systemic inflammation via the gut-brain axis. This bundle tests both pathways — giving you the most complete explanation for unexplained fatigue and cognitive symptoms.
Unexplained low iron, B12, or vitamin D? SIBO bacteria consume nutrients before absorption. The gut test checks for organisms that impair brush border enzyme function. This bundle covers both mechanisms.
Food poisoning can damage the migrating motor complex, causing post-infectious SIBO. It also disrupts large bowel flora. This bundle tests both consequences of the original infection in a single order.
Rosacea, acne, and eczema are linked to both SIBO and large bowel dysbiosis through the gut-skin axis. This bundle identifies bacterial overgrowth and intestinal permeability drivers from both parts of the digestive tract.
Over 90% of serotonin is produced in the gut. SIBO-driven inflammation and large bowel dysbiosis both disrupt neurotransmitter synthesis. This bundle maps the full digestive contribution to anxiety and depression.
Both SIBO and large bowel dysbiosis increase intestinal permeability. Organisms like Klebsiella and Citrobacter trigger molecular mimicry. This bundle identifies autoimmune triggers across the entire gut.
70% of your immune system lives in the gut. SIBO damages the small intestinal barrier; dysbiosis weakens the large bowel mucosal defence. This bundle assesses immune function markers across both.
SIBO impairs calorie absorption patterns while large bowel bacteria influence Firmicutes-to-Bacteroidetes ratios linked to metabolic dysfunction. This bundle reveals both small and large intestine contributions to stubborn weight.
If probiotics and fibre make you worse instead of better, SIBO is the most likely explanation — you are feeding bacteria that are already overgrown. The gut test then shows what the large bowel needs once SIBO is treated.
Antibiotics disrupt both the small and large intestine. The SIBO test checks for rebound overgrowth in the small bowel; the gut test maps what has been lost and what has overgrown in the large bowel. Together they guide targeted recovery.

You receive both the Gut Microbiome Test (108+ biomarkers via stool sample) and the SIBO Breath Test (hydrogen and methane gas analysis) for $670.
SIBO and gut dysbiosis frequently co-exist and mimic each other's symptoms — testing both at once gives your clinician the complete picture needed for an effective treatment plan.
You can collect both samples in the same timeframe, but the SIBO breath test requires a 24-hour prep diet and 12-hour fast, so most patients do that one first thing in the morning.
The SIBO results arrive within 5–7 business days and the gut results within 7–10 business days, so you'll have the full picture within about two weeks.
It's ideal if you have persistent bloating, alternating bowel habits, or an IBS diagnosis — symptoms where small intestinal and large intestinal issues commonly overlap.
You'll receive two separate NATA-accredited reports — one for each test — which can be interpreted together during a consultation with a Microbiome Doctor™.
No referral is needed — you can order directly and book a consultation to review both sets of results with our clinic.
