What We Treat

Gut

Gut

IBS/IBD, SIBO, Bloating, Constipation & Diarrhoea

Your gut is home to trillions of microbes that influence digestion, energy, and overall wellbeing. When it’s out of balance, you might notice bloating, irregular bowel habits, or that “something just isn’t right” feeling after meals.

Skin

Skin

Acne, Eczema, Dermatitis, Rosacea & Psoriasis

Breakouts, rashes, and flare-ups don’t always start on the surface. An imbalanced gut can drive inflammation that shows up on your skin. By restoring balance internally, we can support clearer, calmer skin.

Women's

Vagina

Recurrent UTIs, Thrush and Bacterial Vaginosis

The vaginal microbiome protects against infections and discomfort. When it’s disrupted, issues like recurrent thrush, bacterial vaginosis, or UTIs can appear. Looking after your microbes can mean fewer interruptions to daily life.

Oral

Mouth

Bad Breath, Tooth Decay, Gum Disease & Ulcers

Bad breath, bleeding gums, or recurring dental issues aren’t just about brushing and flossing — your mouth has its own microbiome too. When it’s balanced, it protects your teeth, gums, and even your gut.

Gut-Brain

Mood

Stress, Anxiety & Low Mood

Ever had “butterflies in your stomach”? That’s your gut–brain connection at work. An imbalanced gut can contribute to stress, low mood, and brain fog. Balancing it can help your mind feel clearer and calmer.

Microbiome Dysbiosis

Weight-Loss

Cravings & stubborn weight

The microbes in your gut help decide how food is digested, how you store fat, and even your cravings. Balancing them can make weight management feel less like a battle.

Longevity

Aging & Longevity

Energy, immunity & healthy aging

As we age, the microbiome naturally changes — often leading to slower digestion, lower energy, and weaker immunity. By keeping your gut microbes balanced, you can support vitality, protect against age-related decline, and feel stronger for longer.

Gut

Chronic Disease

Diabetes, cancer & heart disease

The microbiome plays a central role in chronic disease by regulating immunity, metabolism, and inflammation; when disrupted, this imbalance contributes to conditions like diabetes, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Our Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Paul Froomes
BMedSci, MBBS, FRACP, MD

Dr. Froomes is a gastroenterologist with over 30 years of experience helping patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders. Trained at Monash University and the RACP, he has gone on to complete advanced training in endoscopy and oesophageal physiology, as well as a master’s degree in liver disease at the University of Melbourne.

Beyond his hospital work, Dr Froomes has dedicated his career to finding the root-causes of gut issues like IBS, reflux, and inflammatory bowel disease.

He co-founded The Microbiome Clinic™, a new age medical practice built to make his decades of learnings about the microbiome accessible to more patients and practitioners.

After seeing countless people struggle with conditions that didn’t improve under standard care, he recognised the need for a model that treats the root cause—imbalances in the microbiome—rather than just the symptoms.
